Life is meant to be enjoyed not just endured!
Life is meant to be enjoyed, not just endured.
We all have moments of feeling disillusioned with our lives, careers or business...
But …
An empowering perspective
…it’s important to take time to appreciate the beauty and magic of the present moment, and the experience of life in its purest form.
Life is like a journey through a beautiful landscape — it’s meant to be explored, experienced and enjoyed, not just rushed through …or endured.
Life is too precious to be wasted on just getting through it, it’s meant to be savoured and enjoyed every step of the way.
But here’s the thing….
We all have moments where:
😥The daily grind becomes too repetitive, and
😥Our passion for our work begins to fade, and
😥We ask ourselves… “surely there’s gotta be more to life than this!?”
And yes, it’s easy to get caught up in the cycle of worrying about the next career move and lose sight of the beauty and magic of the present moment, and let’s face it…the people, places and occasions outside of the daily grind, that make life worth living.
I too have felt disengaged, disillusioned, even burnt out, several times in my career, consumed and catastrophizing about it all, oblivious to how much it was impacting me personally and those around me… feeling stuck, unsure and lost trying to “figure” my way out of there…
Here’s what I would say…
It’s important to remember that you are not alone in feeling this way, and that:
🙂Being kind to yourself is very important.
🙂It’s normal to have moments of uncertainty and doubt.
🙂Your hard work and efforts have not been wasted, not at all, but rather will indeed serve you in the long run.
Instead of beating yourself up for feeling this way….
Recognize that:
🙌You are only human.
🙌We all lose sight of the shore sometimes (even often).
🙌Change comes from pausing to recalibrate where you are and where you want to be heading to — to reassess your priorities and goals.
Allow yourself the space and time to ...
Seek opportunities for growth ⇒ through reflection!
I know that it may seem counterproductive to take time away from what you think you need to get on with, in order to, reflect and re-examine what else might be important (even what else might turn out to be much much more important), but ….
….it can pay massive dividends in that long run for you to get that clarity about a more meaningful and fulfilling direction, or, to validate that you indeed are still on the right path, and potentially much further than you realize. To put your mind at ease.
If you really think about it:
💡It’s easy to compare ourselves to others and feel as though we are not where we should be, but every person’s journey is unique and unfolds in its own way.
💡Quite often, the things that we take for granted are the very things that others are searching for, so try to cultivate a sense of gratitude, to focus on what you do have
💡Progress is never a straight line. In fact, worries, stress, and set-backs are often symptoms of progress.
Often, the best you can do is:
✔️ Trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be at this very moment in time, this very place, exactly as you are.
✔️Accept that the moment is calling you to pause, reflect and assess and that that is a much more crucial part of progress then pure execution ever could be.
✔️That you are the author of your life and capable of achieving your goals. Why? Because you are The (notice the caps there) capable author.
And seek help and support if you genuinely feel it would help.
You are not alone.
Reach out to friends, family, or a professional for guidance and encouragement.
Consider working with a coach or therapist to help you navigate your emotions and to gain clarity on your values, passions, and vision for your life.
There is no shame in seeking help, in fact it’s a sign of courage and maturity to do so.
Remember… that:
Life is a journey, through a beautiful landscape.
It’s meant to be enjoyed, not just endured.
Take time to appreciate the beauty and magic of the present moment.
Whether it’s the warmth of the sun on your skin, the laughter of your loved ones, or the simple pleasures of a delicious meal or a good book, these moments are truly….
What makes life worth living! 😊
Don’t be afraid to take a leap of faith and pursue what truly makes you happy.
The world needs people who are truly passionate and fulfilled in their careers, and YOU deserve to be one of them.
So be kind to yourself and enjoy the beauty and magic of the present moment.
Trust that everything will work out as it should, and you’ll find yourself exactly where you are meant to be.
You got this!
Consider...
If you feel you got something out from this worth sharing, I want to invite you to do just that... share it... with someone who may benefit or relate.
