Why finding your true self matters
Carl Jung said:
The world will ask you who you are.
And if you don't know.
It will tell you.
Make sense?
We think we know ourselves.
But do we?
I mean, hey, I'm talking to myself, in my mind all day...
So you know, me and my little voice there, we know each other well...
Don't we?
Or is there an element of that, that's kind of like a smoke screen, a cover, a decoy....?
I mean... who are we really?
And when, if ever, do we consider who we really are, and what we really want - beyond that seeming association with our little voice...?
I find that most people "go along to get along" in life, in careers, in business...
Working "in" them, but not "on" them...
And in doing so they are leaving so much on the table... so much untapped potential...
They say most people only use 10% of their brain power in their lifetime. I think that's a myth.
But I bet most people barely scratch the surface of their full potential in their lifetime!
I think it's time we got more serious and more specific about who we really are and what we really want.
